The Committee on Foster Care provides expertise and experience to pediatrician colleagues, the community, and the Commonwealth in relation to the needs of children in foster and kinship care, as well as the development of systems of care and support required to meet these needs.
For any child in foster care, the Committee seeks to work collaboratively with our state child welfare system to best address the whole childā€™s needs and create a system in which these children can thrive. The Committee will meet quarterly both virtually and in person at the Massachusetts Medical Society in Waltham, MA. All interested members are welcome to the join.
The MCAAP is recruiting members to serve on its Foster Care Committee.
